In honor of the 70th anniversary of DLO Musical Theatre (Danville Light Opera), Danville Public Library is thrilled to invite the community to contribute to a special Community eCollection celebrating this beloved local institution.
Since its founding in 1956, DLO has brought music, laughter, and unforgettable performances to Danville. Whether you were in the spotlight, behind the scenes, or cheering from the audience, your memories are part of DLO’s rich legacy.
We’re collecting stories, photos, and memorabilia that showcase the joy and impact of DLO through the decades. Help us preserve and celebrate the magic of musical theatre in Danville!

Suggestions of memories include, but are not limited to:
Written or recorded stories of your time with DLO
Cast photos, playbills, or costume snapshots
Video clips or audio recordings of performances
Behind-the-scenes moments or rehearsal memories
